A little background: Hannah probably naps about 1/3 of the time we put her in her room for naptime. She'll be three years old in a couple of months, so that's not terribly surprising. On the days she doesn't nap, sometimes she plays in her bed and sometimes she makes a horrendous mess of her room.

Today, Mrs. Steve was planning to take her over for a playdate at a friend's in the afternoon, so she'd layed out the girl's clothes for the playdate and asked me to get her changed when "naptime" was over.

So, today Hannah didn't nap. I could hear her rattling about in her room the whole time she was up there, and expected a messed up room when the time came to go up and get her. When I went up and opened the door, I found Hannah with her playdate shirt dangling around her neck because she couldn't get her arms through, and her socks on her hands! She looked at me, flapping her arms, and saying frantically, "I didn't mess up my room, and I was trying VERY hard to get dressed!!!"

I couldn't help but laugh at the poor girl, and just gave her a big hug. She's a funny kid sometimes.
