As a mother of 2 boys age 2 and 12months(bothboys) heres my recommendation on what you need at first:

1. 3-5 gowns(buy like 2/2pks of gerber gowns if cost is an issue)
2. 3-5 sleepers
3. 3-4 cute warm outfits(pants and tops or rompers)
4. at least 10 onsies
5. 10-12 pairs of socks
6. 4-5 hats (usually outfits come with them...if not buy gerber or any knit hats Walmart is a great place to pick up items like this)

You also need bunting of some sort.
Also a must have are those fleece zip up gown like sleepers.

Any more questions email me @ c4urjoy@yahoo.com
nicole hope this helps

i have had to quickly buy everything. and i am not sure what to buy, i just want to make sure i have everything since i need to have everything ready incase i have my baby earlier.

i jus woundered how many baby grows and vest i need for her when she is born because i just want to make sure i have enough.

O.K. settle pettle, "grows" are another way of saying grosuits which i think is what some people call what I refer to as all in ones, different people call clothes different things, vests are also called singlets or shimmies depending on where you are from . Different names everywhere I get confused when I go to american sites and you refer to your backside as your fanny cos thats not the word we use over here. Razz Laughing Laughing

Ok ummm is a grow a sleeper???

Sleeper:
http://www.target.com/gp/detail.html/ref=br_1_13/602-2482766-3863057?%5Fencoding=UTF8&frombrowse=1&asin=B0007LYNO6

And is a vest a onesie?????

Onesie:
http://www.target.com/gp/detail.html/sr=2-3/qid=1134175865/ref=sr_2_3/602-2482766-3863057?%5Fencoding=UTF8&asin=B0009KQMLM

If so then WOW! lol I guess we just didn't think of that whole different part of the world thing lol!! Sorry hun! If you mean onesies and sleepers, then umm...I'd say about 10 onesies and I guess as many sleepers. Just remember that it's always good to have more than enough than not enough, and keep in mind the weather, newborns cannot hold body heat very well, so when you do go out you've gotta keep her extra warm!! Yep, what you call a 'sleeper' is a grow suit or a all in one to me, but a vest has no bottom that buttons between the legs and just comes to thewaist ,think a t shirt but no arms and usually a lighter fabric. or thats what I thought they were, I call your onsie a jelly baby suit cos I think they look like jelly babies in them , but on the packaging over here they just call them short all's , odd hay?
