I read somewhere (can't remember where) that checking cm and cervix can ruin the chance of getting pregnant. The article stated that if you are ttc and have sexual intercourse and he ejaculates inside of you that you should NOT insert your finger and check your cervix and cm because it can diminsh the semen that is waiting (I guess they say the finger gets "rid" of any semen waiting). However, my obgyn told me that when you are ttc you should check your cervix by inserting your finger and to also check your cm while your finger is in there. She told me to check it a couple times a day!! I am leaning more to what my obgyn said. Does anyone know? Has anyone heard anything different? Thanks for any info on this really weird question. |

Well, you do want to check, but not after sex. Check daily before intercourse to see what your cervical mucus is like. When you are ovulation, your cervical mucus is thin, and stretchy and roughlt the concistancy of egg whites.
Good question! |

Well I checked my CM with every loo trip but I NEVER put my finger up there to do so - I always checked the loo paper instead which is what most of my books say so its not such an unpleasant task |
