Hiya!
Its been 8 weeks and 4 days since my last period and yesterday I took a First Response preg test which has come up positive. However, the 'negative' line was alot darker than the 'positive' line (which was fairly faint but definately visable). The box said that one line being darker is common and it still means a positive but i was wondering if anyone elses test showed up similar? Could a result like this mean that I am not as far along as I thought? |

hey, my pregnancy test came out the same way.. usually one line is always darker than the other... it has nothing to do with how far you are though..if the pregnancy test picks up any level of hcg (pregnancy hormone) it will be a positive result. you can ask your doctor for an early ultrasound to establish how far you are..thats what i had to do. did your last period begin or end 8 weeks and 4 days ago? check out this website

| yeh i did! I have no idea when i ovulate thugh and i couldnt be accurate with the length of my cycle. From the information i put in though I am 8 weeks 3 days preg, i conceived on 4/16/06 and i am due on 1/8/07. |

well hey if it's not accurate atleast it's pretty close, ask the doctor about that ultrasound
my first ultrasound i was 6 weeks 6 days pregnant, and the special ultrasounds they do at the hospital are soo much better and clearer than the normal ones.. you can see everything! |

| i had 5kids and some of the test i did over the yrs both lines were not the same.one can be darker then other. |

| Hiya! Just to let you know, I saw a midwife the other day who tested me positive again! So i guess that means Im 9 weeks!!! |
