| I am 38 weeks going on 39 weeks I have been dilated 2.5 centimeters for over 9 days and have lost my mucous plug. This is my first child and I am so excited for the birth and having her here. My problem is I guess I am so impatient and already had a false alarm and was in the hospital for a night and got my hopes up for nothing. I know no one can tell me when it will happen and I am still 9 days away from my due date but it just feels like it will never happen. The Braxton Hicks fool me everytime and I just want to know if anyone was in a similar situation and how it worked out. I really just want the baby here but the unknown is killing me. |

| I went to the hospital two times before I was in active labor. I lost my mucus plug around the same time you did. And I had my daughter three days after my due date. I was walking alot and I was having contractions that lasted 30-45 seconds and coming every 10-30 minutes the two times i went to the hospital. You will know when you are in labor. The contractions are period like pains and coming every two to three minutes and lasting 45-60 seconds. Call the ob at the hospital and tell them what you are having and they might have you come in or stay at home and then have you call again in a few hours. I called at 5am the day i had my daughter. I went to the hospital and was home by six. Went to my doctor app. and was sent back to the hospital. I drove myself. My husband was at work. |
