| Okay... I have ALWAYS wanted to have a little luau. I mean not the whole flame swallowing luau... but just have a party by my pool and decorate it like Hawaii. I mean not a "POOL PARTY" where people wear bathing suits... just to decorate with palm trees... leis... coconut cups...etc... I am naming my baby Tameka (Meka for short)~ which everyone sounds islandy! (Just to let you know!) Anyways, I am wanting to have a baby shower that isn't plain pink for a girl...cartoon character... same ol same ol! Does anyone have any ideas to incorporate a Hawaiian Luau and a Baby Shower? |

| I think your idea is great! I dont know much about baby showers and stuff being 16 and all, but its really unique. I think it would be cool to do. You're right, plain pink or blue are kinda dull or boring. But I guess thats tradition for ya. lol. I think you should go forward with the luau. It's a really good idea. |

| I think you should do whatever makes you happy. This is your shower to cherish and remember and if you want it to be in a luau setting, then so be it. If someone thinks it's too off the wall then they don't need to come. I think it's great that you aren't hung up on the "rules" of a baby shower. More people should just do what they want. The rest of us that go to them might enjoy it more! |

| Thank you both for helping me to decide! You do bring up a very good point! Invite people... if they don't like the idea of it they don't have to come atleast I invited them! Thanks... I needed that comment! I think a "luau" setting would be a lot of fun!! |
