Hi I am 23, first preg, and 6 weeks. I had hcg tests done and my numbers have gone way up like they should I am at 2,200 now. However my Progestrone is only at 9.5, it is rising up slow. Yesterday my doc started me on Progesterone gel insterted into the vagina at night (8%). I have had no major cramping or bleeding so far and feel really good. I have my first appt with doc on 6/21 (begining of my 7th week) does anyone know if Progesterone is a definate way to raise it or could it still not rise? Crying or Very sad

I am in my 4th week of pregnancy (6th according to my doctor though I don't know how I could be 2 weeks pregnant when I ovulated). As soon as I got a positive HCG pregnancy test, he put me on progesterone as well. Mine is due to the previous 2 miscarriages I had so I'm hoping this helps. From what I've read it won't hurt you even if you don't necessarily need it. However, I can't imagine that it wouldn't help raise your progesterone levels but I'm certainly no doctor. If you aren't having any other complications, I wouldn't worry about it.
