My ultrasound ( I had performerd when I was 19 weeks) shows that I am having a baby girl. The whole time she moved around and we never saw any "boy parts". In one ultrasound you can see there isn't anything there... and in the one to determine the gender you also can't see anything. I was told that an ultrasound for a girl can be a boy just because the umbilical cord lays over the "boy parts" and covers the baby to cause it to look like a girl. The heart beat for the past two visits were 152 and 127 (on the day of the ultrasound). Also, I have heard that you can have twins and only see one in the ultrasound. Does anyone know any information about this? Because twins run in the family and also I would like if there is a big chance my baby could be a boy. Thank you!

It is easier 4 a girl to be 'mistaken' for a boy but these days with the techology scans are pretty much spot on in that area. But scans can be right off with other things, for eg. my scan show a possibly of a Downs baby & they mention a abortion, but I said no & I had a healthly 7lb 2oz baby boy who just turn 1 year old 17 April. I was 32 when he was born, & 19 with my first, 4 kids total - 2 girls -2 boys. My doctor told me not to worry about my scan as he was fairly positive my baby would be fine. He was right!
