I am 15 days late, I did a pregnancy test at 13 days late and got a faint second line. My doctor's office said that there are no false positives, so they scheduled me for a blood test. I just got the results today and they were negative. I don't understand, and my doctor's office is apparently too busy to help me understand.
Does anybody know why this would happen? |

I'm not sure why this would happen. The only thing I can suggest is do one more home preg test to see if you get a positve result again and if so, ask that your doctor do another blood test (who knows if the lab or doctor's office made a mistake or gave you the wrong results).....you'll never know unless you ask them to do another test or ask them to explain to you how this could happen.
Good Luck! |

| Maybe if you recently had a baby the HCG is still in your system, or I have heard that certain medications can cause a false positive. I would repeat the test again in a week. If it is still positive, have another blood test. Good luck! |

| Hi there. I have only once had a blood test that showed up neg. when a home pg test was postive. And that was when I had what was like a molor pregnancy. That ended at 7wks. Maybe you hgc (?) levels arent high enough yet if you ovulated later in your cycle or if u are pg & the egg didnt implant correctly than you will end up having your AF. It could be any number of reasons, maybe a fautly hpt. If I was you and in a week or two still haven't got AF then I would test again either at home or thr your doctor. All the best & keep me posted. |
