Hi friends I have a 2 1/2 yr old daughter, sneha. She has a problem of sucking her thumb while sleeping. Due to her sucking her thumb is a little swollen these days. Kindly guide me to stop her thumb sucking.

Hello,
My daughter is a thumb sucker too at 10 mos. Not sure how I am going to deal with this either. I was talking to a lady from church who said "I sucked my thumb until I was twelve and it didn't hurt me at all" another friend's daughter sucked her thumb until she was 9 and just stopped all of a sudden. Some say it can cause problems with their teeth, however, I don't know that for sure. What if you be consistent and make her take it out whenever you see it, so she knows that it is only for bedtime??? Maybe eventually it might go away???
Sorry I can't help you, but if I hear anything I will sure let you know. Take care and good luck!
