I've posted before about how my 2.5 year old daughter is not only shy but rude. Generally if she doesn't know you, she'll not only not talk to you but sometimes she'll screw her face up and SAY she doesn't want to talk to you. I've actually been dreading Halloween because of it. Well, she came through great tonight. I think it's partly because she got to dress up as her favorite animal, a duck. I've never SEEN her so social. We went trick-or-treating to about a dozen houses. At some of them she actually stood and had a conversation with the person handing out candy, telling them how she was a duck and what ducks say and how old she is. At two houses she actually sat down NEXT to the person handing out candy.
I've decided that from now on, she's allowed to dress as a duck .. lol. |

Hey,
That's great.....I know how you feel. Alex dressed up as a spider and it was actually his first time trick-or-treating. We talked about for a couple of weeks just so he would know what to expect and not to get too scared. He had a great time and even blew a couple of kisses to some of the neighbours |
