My daughter just turned 14 months today. She has always taken an AM and PM nap for 1-1/2 each, like clockwork. The last two days she hasn't taken an afternoon nap. When do toddlers typically stop taking 2 naps? And how do you know for sure it's time to switch to one aftrnoon nap?

My son is almost 14 months. He's been taking only one nap for about a month now. We also have a five year old daughter, and she took two naps a day until she was two. You just never know!

My dd was around 1yr when she went to 1 nap and now at 2yrs she rarely takes a nap. She just keeps going like the energizer bunny.

My son went to one nap at about 13 mos. He now at 26 mos. takes 1 nap a day after lunch, usually a two hr. nap but there is the odd day he will skip it.

up until his 13th month, my son slept like clockwork. he is almost 17 months old now, and for about 3 months he has been sleeping at add hours, and he will wake up at weird times like 3 int he morning, and be ready to go. his doctor told me it was because he was going through a growth spurt, and he wont need to nap so much anymore.

My daughter will be 14mths next week. She's cut down on her napping too. She used to have 2 naps one about 2 hrs and one for about 1hr. Her naps went down to 1 1/2hrs and her 2nd one about 1/2 hr. These past few weeks tho she's been only taking 1 1/2hr nap. I think its fine. She sleeps thru the night great, if they're tired they'll let you know!

Just wanted to update-
She skipped some naps for about 3 days and then went back to her regular schedule of two 1-1/2 hour naps. As long as she will keep taking them, I'm going to take advantage of it!!! She's a high energy kid and I don't get alot done when she's up and going!
Thanks all!
