Im 34 weeks pregnant, due February 5. The problem is, is that Im not getting very big. Each time I go to the doctor they say everythings is okay but Im still worried. Last time the doctor measured my belly it was right at 33 weeks but I dont see how it could be because you can barely tell Im pregnant. Does this mean that my baby will be little? Or does he just have a lot of extra room since Im tall and have a 'long' torso. Im very worried about this.....Please Help!! :(

Some people just don't get very big, but it doesn't mean that the baby is small. My mother barely showed with me and I was almost 8 pounds when I was born. I just grew up and back on her rather than out.

i am 37 weeks, and everybodt that looks at me tell me that i am not that big, they say i only look 5 months or so... at my last ultra sound (a week ago) they said that the estimated weight on my little one was 6.6 pounds, so im not sure... it also could be related to the fact that i was kinda chunky before i got pergnant.. plus, total, ive only gained about 10 pounds my whole pregnancy, mainly due to the fact that i lost 25 the first 3 months due to morning sickness..
im sure you are fine :)
and and replying to your other post, im 4 weeks ahead of you, and the only time me belyl gets noticably hard is when im having contractions, so no worries there, im sure your jsut fine :D :D :D :D

I am almost 35 weeks. Some people say omg you are so big, while others say that I am so small. EVERYONE is completely different. If your doctor is not concerned with your size than you shouldn't be either. Some people get really big and carry out front while others dont get big at all and may carry wider. Or vice versa!
Happy holidays!!

I didn't even start showing until I was 7 months. No one knew at all. So, I was tiny my entire pregnancy, and I had an 8lbs 4 oz baby!

My aunt however gained 70 some lbs and had a 6lb baby.

It just depends on how your baby is positioned in your stomache. My baby was sittiing farther back than most.

I am sure your baby is fine. If the Doctors say everything is okay, than listen to them. That is what they get paid to do!

Good luck!

i was told that it also depends on your weight before the pregnancy , if you were 200Lbs , chances are you wont show much at all... if you were under 140lbs then youll show a bit more , and if you were itsy bitsy teeney , then youll start a lump at like 5 months... my friend's daughter is 5 months now and only has a beer gut belly, when i was 5 months i looked like i was 7 months... so it all again depends on you....some girls go through pregnancy without showing and dont even know they are pregnant and think its cramps and get to the hospital and bam they are about to deliver...... :) dont worry yourself hun like the last reply posted , your baby is fine if the doctor dosent say anythings wrong :)

Hon, don't worry!! Weirdly enough, belly size does not indicate baby size. My belly grew quickly and then basically stopped. From about 34 weeks on I didn't grow. And it wasn't a problem. Then when the baby dropped I looked a bit bigger and I had a 9.5 ounce baby. So HE was big even though I wasn't!! :) And he came a little early too!! Big boy!! So, enjoy that fact that you can get around still and can probably fit into clothes more easily than most!! Congrats!! You're almost there!!!
