I had a m/c in July. My Dr. told me that as soon as I found out I was pg again to come in and have blood work done to check my hcg levels. Well, I just found out using an hpt that I am pg. I called my Dr's office and he is out of town until the first of the year. What should I do, wait for him to return or go somewhere else and have my hcg levels checked? I do plan on using him as my Dr. If I should go somewhere else, where should I go? Could my reg. Dr. perform these tests? Please advise. I don't want to lose this baby!!! Thanks!

I would call the emergency room at the hospital and ask them. Because they did mine. Keep us posted

Jaymmie,
Thanks for your response! I will call them tomorrow. I am not having any spotting like I was with my 1st pg. But I am having some cramping, pinching sensations, which are worrying me a bit. Hopefully, all is fine and I am just overreacting. Thanks again.

Shana there should be a covering doctor. What if one of his patients goes into labor; they have to wait until the first of the year? Call back and see who his covering is.

Hey Jenna,
I just called and they said that I could come in tomorrow and have the lab work done. Thanks for your information. Duh, I guess I'm just panicked and not thinking straight. I'll try to keep everyone posted on my situation. I love reading about everyone's experiences on this board. It is definitely insightful!

Shana;
Oh good I am so glad. I was a bit worried. Then I kept thinking what kind of doctor does this girl have if there's no one covering we need to find her a new one. Believe me you never think straight when you are in a panic. I remember when I was pregnant for my son after do treatment to get pregnant I was bleeding and cramping when I called the doctors office I couldn't even get my name out. THank God my husband and Mom were there. I was just a mess. Please keep us posted.
