ya...not going to do the whole castor oil thing. It is bad for you....gives you horrible diarrhea and can make your baby have a bowel movement in utero.

I too looked into the black cohosh and blue cohosh, even looked at it in the health food store but the fact that the box says for pregnany woman not to drink it scared me off. I have heard of people drinking it and inducing thier labor but I would use it as a last resort. Try the Red rasberry tea leaf tea first , it worked for me(if you have a store that sells the black cohash they will have the rasberry too). You still have 15 days to go no reason to jump into it yet. Wait to do that stuff when you have hit your due date and still nothing. I had past my due date and was told by the doc that my cervix was unfavorable so they would not even induce. That is why I went the th "alternitve" methods.

I didn't take the Black cohosh and after reading more about it I am not going to. My cervix is favorable...it is soft and I am 1cm and 30%. So I am moving in the right direction. I just have been doing natural things mostly walking, sex, eating pineapple.

definetely wish you luck!! Ya....I typed in natural labor inducers on Google and pineapple was one of them....I guess a chemical that is in it...

oh...Hannah's mommy....I went to the doc yesterday and I am 1cm and 30% effaced.....because of the weight I've gained total and this last week (8 lbs. this last week-all water weight-my feet are huge) my doc is ordering me an ultrasound to see how big she is and if she is big then I get induced....we'll see what happens...my ultrasound is on Tuesday

My girlfriend's family owns a healthfood store, the last month or so of her pregnancy she began taking black cohosh, apparently it softens your cervix. It really made her labor easier. I would ask an herbologist. All natural works!!
