I love that show. There's nothing that will make you feel better about your own kids than watching someone else's monsters on TV.

Love that show!!! I used the sleep technique and it totally worked. Except last night he was up.......monsters. Those monsters can be a pain in the neck.

Did you use the sleep technique for Payton too?

We've started using the step with Hannah. Until recently we put her in her room when she was being bad. We knew it wasn't the best thing, but we didn't know what else to do. We didn't think she'd sit there for two minutes, but she does. Of course, we threaten to put her in her room if she gets up .. that might help.

WEll, with Mikey we used the sleep technique when he would get out of bed. I would just take him and not make eye contact or say anything and put him to bed. Payton actually goes to sleep pretty well usually at night; I hope I didn't just jonx it

Yeah the sleep one worked. But that's because he's older.

Anyone see the one from this past week? That kid got out of bed 40-some times while his mom was trying to train him to sleep in his own bed!

Well, most night would be like three or four. He would either go to sleep or he wouldn't. Know what i mean? Like, he never just got up once. He either didn't get up at all or he was up a few times. One time at nap it was like seven times. I was getting mad cause I would go in yell at him put him back to bed go back down the stairs start to nurse payton and he would be up again. And by the seventh time it was and hour and a half into it and now I am saying if he goes to sleep now I will have to wake him in an hour or he won't go to sleep tonight. THat was not a good day.

It was obviously the mother's own doing. When the dad put him down to bed the whole process took seven minutes because the kid knew he couldn't get away with anything. Or, it was a coincidence .. who knows?

THe sleep technique is so eay. Kids usually get out of there bed for attention. So even if you go in and yell at them you are still giving them the attention they want. So with the sleep technique you just go in there room; make no eye contact and say nothing. Put them to bed and walk out. That's it.
