I heard that Braxton Hicks can start as soon as 5 months. They are uncomfortable. I think the book said they should last like 15 seconds or so. It said not to worry unless you have more than 4 in an hour. Hope it helps!

I think you have BH contrations throughout your entire pregnancy. Some time in your second trimester is when you start feeling them. I started noticing them around 18 weeks. Not anything painful, just uncomfortable. It's really noticible right after orgasms.

Honey I have never gotten them!! BUT I have read up on them and here is some info: BH should stop if you change position or move around. BH should NOT increase in severity. The length you have them for should not steadily increase nor should the time in between them (like real ones do) BH can start in your second trimester and last throughout the rest of your pregnancy. Hope that helps! :D

I don't think you be 17 is a problem. Your body should be done growing for the most part. Keep in mind that just a few generations ago most women were having children at that age.

You will more than likely eventually have more than one BH contration a day, especially as you get further along. I think we're due at the same time and I have several a day. It's just your body preparing for childbirth. Call your OB and talk to them to make sure everything is okay. That way they can help ease your mind.

Another thing that might help ease your mind, you're almost to the point of viability. You will not have a miscarriage. If you do go into preterm labor the chances of your child surviving if you deliver is getting better and better as the days pass.
