I spoke too soon tonight! Like 30 minutes later, all i here is "wwwwwaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaahhhh!" thats the first time I can think of that Hayden woke up crying... I wonder if he was having a bad dream. like someone taking his mommy away... he would be devastated! Sad and so would i.. thats a terrible dream..

Oh no that is awful. Did he cry himself to sleep or did you go in there? How was he the rest of the night?

I got him out of bed and got him to fall asleep.. he would have slept longer, but my husband came home around 2am from work and got my dogs all excited and that woke the baby up. The baby doesn't sleep with us, but in a portacrib in our room. I'm not ready to trust the baby monitor yet.

HE'll get there. He's still so little. Every baby is different. My son slept through the night at 3 months my daughter was four and a half months. I kept mikey in our room until 5 months. First time mom syndrome was the reason. Payton was out at 3 and a half months. I think that helped her sleep better.

Just out of curiosity, how much does he weigh? I heard once, and it seemed to be true for Justin, that babies "usually" (and I use that term loosely) begin to sleep through the night when they hit about 12 lbs. It is then that they can begin to sustain themselves for longer. Justin was 12 lbs 14 ounces at his 2 month appt. (which was really like 2 months and 1 week). I remember that the appt. was on a Tues. and the Friday before (he was 9 weeks exactly) he started sleeping through (6-7 hours).

On a side note, I moved Justin out of our room at around 6 weeks. I had every intention of having him in their longer, but my little jabber jaws used to keep us up at night. I found that both him and us got better sleep when he was on his own. That way our tossing and turning didn't keep him up and his restless baby sleep didn't keep us up (everytime he'd move my eyes would jolt open thinking he was getting up).
