My doctor said that water has no nutritional value and it is much better to give formula or breastmilk, especially when the baby is so young. Although it won't hurt the baby, the only time water should be given is in very hot weather, to keep the baby hydrated.

Also, breasts produce milk according to demand, so keep in mind if she is going to suppliment that her supply might not go up, or may even go down. If she wants her supply to go up she needs to "show" her body how much the baby needs by breastfeeding as often as the baby needs, then mabey giving a bit of formula to "top the baby off" untill her supply does increase.

I've never heard of triple nipple cream, mabey you should check with your pharmacist.

Hope this helped!

Yeah, I'd stay away from water right now, in fact I would reccoment staying away from a bottle in genereal if she is still working on a nursing routine.

Is your daughter drinking enough water? Has she tried mothers milk tea? There are lots of suppliments to boost milk production. I would reccomend that route before supplimenting with formula Very Happy
