I heard it is fine as long as the place is well ventilated and you aren't just sitting there inhaling the fumes. I am getting my toes done in 2 weeks. Many pregnant women get pedicures because they can't reach their toes and nothing bad happens.

Oh and they also say be careful to not get stuff up your nose. So they recommend you wear the mask things like they wear.

I've had my nails/toes done during pregnancy also. Baby is still in there and growing. :) I do want to tell you though that some of the ingredients in regular nail polish "can cause birth defects" according to the manufacturer. In the first trimester (when all the vital organs are forming) I used only nail polish that is specially formulated and made without the chemicals potentially harmful to baby. I don't feel it's a huge deal or anything to lose sleep over though. The amount of chemicals that actually could get to the baby are (in my uneducated guess) too small to afffect him.

Most nail polish is okay...You just have to make sure that it doesn't have formaldahyde in it. You'd be surprised how many people put it in their nail polish, but it's not as common as it used to be.
