Hello
Does anyone have some advice about short nappers? My 3mo old son usually takes 30 - 40 minute naps....but somedays he'll take a 1 1/2 hour one. I always watch for his tired signs and do many of the things you'd read about.
Today he cried after 30 mintes, I went and picked him up and rocked him for 30 seconds and he went back down. 20 minutes later he's up again....I did the same thing and he's been sleeping for another 20 (so far).
Im hoping he'll grow out of this?
thanks |

My little one was a fighter from day one. We were happy with Any naps! lol! My advice...do a metal inventory. Where is the baby when napping? Is is queit? Dark? Light? Noisy? Is there motion, like a swing or cradle? Try to make note. Then, try a few new things.
With my son, napping in a swing was GREAT! If he started to stir, and it was only 15-20 of napping, I would start the swing and he would go back to sleep.
Some kids just don't take good naps. Just make sure that your baby is getting enough sleep through the day, and sleeping through the night. It just may take a while.
Good luck! |
