Hi! I am expecting my third bundle of joy this summer and I am thinking of having a Doula. I have two children that were delivered by a C-Section and for this third one I am really trying to avoid going that route again. Has anyone gone through a similar experience. I hear that Doulas help reduce the risk of the surgery.
Thanks! |

A doula is a support person, what are the problems yo had so you had to have a c section? I'd get an ob's opinion too! Goood luck |

IF YOU HAD A C-SECTION FOR THE LAST TWO (AND ESPECIALLY IF NEITHER WERE SCHEDULED) YOU WILL MOST LIKELY HAVE TO AGAIN.
I beleive a Doula is jsut a person that comes along and helps you during labor, and comforts you, and supports you. I don't beleive the lower the risk. You may be thinking of a midwife. But I'm not sure if they lower the c-section rate either.
I have 3 children. the 1st was unexpected c-section because he was too big, and my hips don't expand. My second wasn't but they had a heck of o time getting her out. They used the vacume over and over, and were bringing all the c-section stuff into the room when she finally came out. My third was scheduled c-section because my Dr. said it would be stupid to even try and risk the babies health.
But you may have different reasons for yours, so go with what your Dr. suggest. |
