The longest trip we've done with Lyric is 10hrs, thats to Canada, we travelled at night so she would sleep most of the way. I'd also suggest getting her a new toy or two to keep her happy.. Good luck with the move...

Yeah!! California is a great place. Like you already know, I am an expectant first time mother so I have yet to experience traveling with children. But, my sister and her husband have driven from San Diego to Texas a few times with a 2 and a half year old and a 2 month old. That trip is 24 hours. Probably only about a halfway point for you. They make sure to have lots of toys and snacks and take periodic breaks for running around. They also bought a mini TV/DVD set and my nephew watches some movies, that really keeps him busy and does the trick. Just a couple of ideas, hope it helps. Very Happy

We traveled to New Mexico from Ohio when my daughter was 17 months old. Before we left we bought a small tv/vcr and she watched all her tapes that she liked. It was a huge life saver. Of course she loves books so we brought those as well and some small toys but all in all watching those tapes was the main thing.
