Hi Sunflower,
I noticed in another post of yours that you mentioned you had an emergency c-section and then afterwards was on morphine for the pain.
I also had an emerg. c-sec and was on morphine.
My question is did the hospital say it was ok to breastfeed while on the morphine??
A friend of mine from work who also had an emerg. c-sec at another hospital was never given morphine but only Tylenol 3 for the pain.
I guess it really depends on the antheisologist and nurses. |

| Breast feeding was fine while i was on morphine, as soon as i was wheeled back into my room the midwife put the baby straight on my breast. She had to do it for me the first time because my body was still numb from the c section but thankfully i could take over after that and even change bub's nappies because the morphine killed the pain for me. |
