hey all, i was just curious.. when do babies usually start smiling? cuz i swear mykenzi smiled at me already.. there was 3 biggo smiles within like 5 minutes when i was talking to her earlier:) so i was wondering if they could have actually been real smiles...

This early it is just a reflex though you may swear it is a true smile. I think around 2 or 3 months they start to truely smile at you and it is more than just a reflex
This is from babycenter.com:
"3 months
Now your baby will spend many of his waking hours watching what goes on around him. He'll even flash his first genuine smile, a momentous event for most parents. Soon he'll be an expert at "smile talk," starting an interaction with you by sending a smile your way and gurgling at the same time."

| Yeah, at this age it's gas. But soon enough, around 2-3 mos. when you go to get her in the morning she will look up and smile at you with recognition. That's the best feeling in the World!!! |
