I had a miscarriage after 8 weeks of pregnancy. My Dr advised me to take the pill for one month to put things back to normal. The problem is that I don't want to take the pill since the pill was the reason of my miscarriage!!.. Dr says I got pregnant too soon after stopping the pill. I should have waited for 3 months before trying to get pregnant. Now I still have to wait 3 more months, but if I take the pill, it will make it 4!!
A friend of mine that also had a miscarriage says for her Dr. it was out of the question to prescribe her the pill and even better, he encouraged her to try to get pregnant again right away..

What should I do? Has anyone had a similar experience? Crying or Very sad

From everything I heard now these day you really don't have to wait to get pregnant after getting off the pill. My doctor told me this the pills are different now. She also said that if you have a miscarriage you should start trying again immediately. Because your hormones are still high enough to make it easier to be pregnant again. Sorry to hear about your loss. I had a miscarriage at about 6 weeks along. I was told to wait one cycle then go ahead and try again. I wasn't exactly careful and never did get my period again, I got pregnant within one - two weeks of the miscarriage. I now have a healthy 7 month old daughter. Doesn't make much sense why your doctor would say that you weren't off of the pill long enough, then put you back on it right away!?!?!

Have you thought about going to another doctor for a second opinion?

Some people even get pregnant when ON the pill.As for waiting,I heard it's best to wait at least one cycle.
