Lily did sign language for the first time!!! We have been teaching her the sign for milk for a little over a month now. I was expecting it to take longer for her to pick it up but today it was about 10 minutes before her feeding time and she looks at me and starts making the sign for milk. Everytime I would take the bottle from her mouth she would sign it again! Then when she was finished she did not do it anymore!! I'm so excited. Guess it's time to move onto the next word |

| Krissi that is awesome!! I can't even imagine how excited you are! It is like saying her first word at 5 months. I am amazed at baby sign language but I know nothing about it....can you give me a link? |

I had a friend who did it with her son ( and she is thankful to this day because he is not yet talking very much at 2) so I decided while I was pregnant it was something I wanted to try. I just bought a book http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/tg/detail/-/1401902901/102-7906991-0990539?%5Fencoding=UTF8&v=glance
So that I could have the signs in front of me and know what they are. We are moving onto "eat" next This is a very good book with lots of helpful info on what to do and getting started and such |

| That's great!! I saw a program on tv before that mentioned how good it was to teach babies sign language. They can learn to communicate with you and others before they learn to talk. Also, they don't get as frustrated because they have a real way of communicating with you. |

That is great news. My aunt did it with her twins and it made things so much easier for her.
I knew you would have a link |
