does any one know if sex really helps? i am 1 week overdue and my doc said to have sex. i just wounder if it works and if so how long does it take

Depends how ready you are ,I have had 6 babies and it has worked twice but not on the others (several inductions) I say as long as it doesn't hurt go for it ! Laughing

anything that gets your baby in your arms faster is a good thing.Best of luck Laughing

Hello! I just had my baby 3 weeks ago and she was a week overdue. starting Dec 25th I wanted to have the baby so I tried everything could think of to try to naturally induce labour including sex. It didn't work for me. I have heard it work for some. I say it all depends on how "favourable" your uterus is.

No I cant say it ever worked for me either - walking worked for my second though - nothing like a light jog to get things going Wink

I tried Raspberry Leaf tea, and I went into labor the next day. Who knows, maybe it was just my time!

I tried everything to induce my labor and nothing worked. Ended up going to the hospital and having their drugs to be induced. SO by my experience no, sex doesn't work. It only made me more uncomfortable. DH loved it though. Laughing

i tried sex be4 and bumpy roads.it diidn't work for me.i heard pinapple works and the raspberry tea helps sometimes.i really thinks when ever the bbay is ready he will comes out.i had 3 inductions out of 5 kids for diffenert reasons.this time around if i am allow to have virginally delivery i will be induced again.
