I was at work today and I am now assuming it was just my braxton hicks acting up! but it has never been that severe or lasted so long! Almost 4 hours they were continuous. It was horrible! Now just for reference and for an idea or round about, what do contractions actually feel like. DO they feel like the braxton hicks only worse, or is it something completly diff?

How far along are you?

Real contractions are more regular, getting closer and closer together. They also become more painful the closer they are. They last longer then braxton hicks, and are definitly more painful (although I am having painful braxon hicks with this pregnancy)

I guess if the doc's are right Im about 33 weeks, almost 34. I do normally have braxton hicks, when it comes on me, it stops within 5 mins. But this time, it lasted almost 4 hours. IT was pretty spaced out and everything, but I would get those ones that would just knock you on your rear, I was almost in tears a few times! But they stopped! So its good I guess!

I remember always laughing at the books when they would say "Braxton Hicks are completely painless" I remember them stopping me in my tracks on countless occasions and more so towards the end of the 3rd trimester. Sounds like your body is in full practice mode Smile

Best to keep an eye it though - 4hrs is a long time of BHicks - dont forget to tell your Doc at your next appt.
