If you do not take prenatal vitamins but eat very nutritional and at all visits have had good iron levels and are healthy are there any increased risks to the baby?

What does it matter, I don't think that it would hurt if you took them anyway.

Even if you eat right, they are still a must I think!! They wont hurt you.And just incase you aren't getting enough of a certian vitamin, they are all there. You're taking care of 2 now,and if you aren't getting enough of something the baby will start taking it from you. Now I needed them because I am anemic and have low iron(because I don't eat meat) but still.Yes they aren't fun(I had to break them up and put them in water-yuck!!) but i'd still take them.

ABSOLUTELY.... Gotta have it AND eat well. That folic acid usually goes to 800 mcg after you're pg. I want to do every thing I possibly can to ensure my baby is healthy. Not taking vitamins would be going in the opposite direction. It's just a pill a day, take it, please.
