We're having some fun now! File that under "S" for "sleep deprivation"!

Crying or Very sad

So basically steve you guys are getting less sleep then you were before? Was that possible? How is he doing? Did they give him anything? Mikey has an earache. He pulls at the ear. Doctor said to let it be for now and give motrin to make him comfortable.

lol .. actually Jackson isn't near as bad of a sleeper than his sister was. We had him down to feeding once a night, which compared to his sister is a victory. But .. I expect some rough nights ahead from this ear infarction. He was an utter disaster today. He woke up this morning at 5am and cried pretty much for the next several hours until my wife gave him a bottle and he fell asleep. The eardrops seem to help him, though.

Were the eardrops perscription or over the counter? How does he do with you putting them in?

I think they're prescription. They're numbing drops. I think they're called Otic or Pro Otic or some such thing. They're in his room right now so I can't check. They really do seem to help. He HATES having them put in, though .. he screams the whole time we're doing it. He's better than my girl, though .. who used to freak out so much that we stopped bothering.

I hope your son feels better soon. Those ear infections can be real hard, I couldn't imagine a double ear infection. Hang in there.

It's called A/B Otic, and my wife confirmed that it's prescription only.

Thanks. This is my son's first double. My daughter had one when she was younger. Hopefully my son will follow what my daughter did, and stop getting these things after turning one year old.

The ear infections were the result of a nasty cold/flu he had for a week. Of course, now my daughter AND wife have the same cold/flu. My house is a fun place to be right now. The only good part about it is that my girl fell asleep on my chest on the couch for about an hour this morning. She hasn't done that since she was a baby and it was kind of nice, even though she did it because she feels like crap.

I know what you mean Steve. I hate to see the kids sick but LOVE that they want to cuddle more with mommy during those times.

So once again for like the 8th time this year Megan is sick again and she fell asleep on me. I was thinking of you Steve when she did fall asleep on me and how good that felt, but also the guilt that came along with it that she is sick and that is why she is doing it. How is your son feeling now? I hope better and I hope everyone is sleeping now.
