I took a test yesterday morning and within the 10 minute frame I got a negative result. I accidentally left the test on the bathroom counter and when I got home from work late last night it was a faint positive. What does that mean?? Everything that I read states that pregnancy tests are supposed to detect the Hgc hormone. Why would it be positive now? HELP!! |

| I hope you understand this because I feel like my brain is half asleep. I think most pregnancy tests have a time frame in which to test and they say that you will get a result within 2 to 10 minutes and then after that the test may not be valid (if that makes sense.) So if you tested and got a negative result in the allowed 10 minutes then I would go with the negative result. Because the faint positive came well after the 10 mintues. That does not however mean your not pregnant it just means you tested too early. Sometimes you dont get a BFP for a few weeks after AF was due. Good luck. |

| ok yes tests do have a time frame, most state in thr instructions that after about 5 mins, to discard the test b/c it is no good. In the first 5 mins you will get your awnser. The positive line you saw was an evaporation line. Sorry but it looks like a BFN! Better luck next time! |
