|
|
Hi, my girl is 14 months old and she has taken to peeing in the tub, usually when I first put her in. i've tried picking her up as soon as she starts and putting her on the potty but it doesn't help. I've also tried putting her on the potty before she goes into the tub...even put her feet in warm water while she's on the potty...nothing works. Anyone have any other suggestions?
thanks in advance:) |

Hi,
My son has and still does occasionally pee in the tub. We don't make a big deal of it. Just think of all the kids that have peed in public pools.....it's something kids do.
As long as she is not drinking the water, and even if she got some in her mouth it would be so diluted in the bath water. |

ya I never make a big deal of it .. the first couple of times I just picked her up quick and said' uhoh pee pee in the tub..let's pee pee in the toilet like mommy and daddy' and I put her on the potty. I know it's not the end of the world.. I just know that she knows that she's going 'peepee' so i guess i was hoping I could get her to pee on the potty..like early training or something.
thanks for the reply:) |

| You could still have her sit on the potty before her bath, at least she will get used to it.....she still is very young but if she is willing to sit on it, then that's great. My son is 21 months and just started last week to pee on his potty. We have had it since he was 18 months but was not ready at that time and would cry if I put him on it. Boys are generally slower than girls with potty training. |

| I think its just an uncontrolable response they have when they hit they water, especially at that age. I don't think there's much you can do about it, and I don't think she knows what she's doing yet. Just one of those things that she'll eventually learn and stop. |
