My son has a "happy noise" that could shatter galss! There seems to be no pattern...bored or excited, tired or wide awake, full or hungry. It makes no difference, he sends out this blood-curdling scream though he is not upset. He is just fine! It is his new favorite thing to do. It is ear piercing. What do I do?

Give him some time. It could very well be he's discovered his voice and all the different things he can do with it. He'll be on to a new sound soon if he isn't already. :)

That is so cute! :) He is just exploring new things. Let him do it. When he finds something new he would stop. Enjoy every moment of it as it wont come back! http://www.greatdad.com/tertiary/89/3905/study-newborn-babies-got-rhythm.html

That's great! I would so rather my son do that knowing that he's not upset or anything rather than crying a lot because he is upset about something. Do they do it also in public?

Wow! That is really nice. He is slowly discovering things including his voice right now and it is a good sign that your baby is developing in that area. Congrats!
