: Hi, for those of you that wanna know I am being induced next Wed at 7:00 am. Got a question though. I'm not supposed to eat or drink after 12:00 midnight Tue. There is no way I can do that. I wake up so sick from being hungry in the mornings. What am I gonna do? I get so sick I start to shake and sweat. OH KNOW! I gotta eat a little something. Do you think it'll be OK? TIA!!

I know this stress all too well. I was induced but never told not to eat before going in. I wound up being put in a position whereas I did not eat for a total of 4 days. UGHHHHHHH! That was the longest 4 days. It is best not to eat. As the medication and combination of food often makes people very ill. You really don't need that on top of everything else. It is hard enough. If you must have something try some type of smoothie or a popsicle. I wouldnt mention it to the dr as they may prolong your induction! Good luck!
