That's great you got to hear your baby's heartbeat...even if it was only for a second or two. I also didn't hear my son's heartbeat until around 14 wks and he would always move away from the doctor's hand when she was trying to feel his position inside me. I first felt my son kick inside of me at 18 wks and he never stopped from that time on. He was 18 months yesterday and has always been an active baby and now an even more active toddler.
