You could always go to your doctor or an obstretician for an internal exam, just to make sure everything is ok. I'm sure it will not happen again.
When I was in labour with my son, they had a very hard time checking how dilated my cervix was because it is tilted and also the opening of my cervix has a band around it(there is a medical term for it and some women have this). My doctor told me because of this band around the cervix that I would never have to worry about a miscarriage but he told me that some women have to have the opening of their cervix stitched up in order to carry their baby and they remove these stitches (I think) towards the end of the pregnancy. I do not know all the details of this procedure my doctor just happened to mention it to me.
