: I will be 39 weeks tomorrow and am so ready to be done with this pregnancy. I don't want to do ANYTHING that would hurt the baby, but I was wondering if anyone knows any natural ways to induce labor. I know sex is supposed to help, did that last night (sorry if TMI). Some people say walking, but I don't know if my back will take much walking. My friend is a PT and said that my pelvis is pushed way forward and my lower back is out. Something I will just have to deal with until baby comes. My back will go numb from my tailbone up if I am walking or standing too long. I've thought about taking a ride on a bumpy road, but I have trouble holding it, if you know what I mean. I guess I could put on a pad and go for it anyway!!! I have been swimming with my kids for exercise so hopefully I won't have any problems pushing due to inactivity.
: Well let me know girls. Anything is worth a shot right now. I'm going to ask my midwife today for any suggestions. Maybe if I threaten to jump on the trampoline she'll take me seriously:^)
I heard "walking the curb" (walking with one foot one a curb) helps. Afriend of mine did this and went in labor about an hour later. But, from your post it sounds like that might just make you feel worse. I wish you lots of good luck and labor vibes!! ((hugs))
