The Britax Decathlon convertible car seat is another great car seat from Britax.
It is similar to the Marathon and the Boulevard, with the following important differences:
- It has additional padding for newborns with an infant positioning system. If you want your baby to be extra comfortable – this might be important to you.
- It has a push-button release instead of a lever, which makes it easier to take your child out of the seat.
- It comes with an adjustable three-position crotch strap. Don’t make light of this – it really helps so you don’t have to dig in under your kid to find the strap…
- It does not have Side Impact Protection (SIP) with the addition of supportive ‘wings’ in the headrest like the Boulevard.
Parents who own the Britax Decathlon have generally been happy with it – so if you plan to get it you are probably making the right decision!
