My son had a similar problem. He would scream in pain while eating(started at about 2 weeks old) We tried different formulas, gas drops,etc. Finally, his dr. recommended an upper GI - they thought it was possibly reflux. We found out he had an inflammed duodenum(the connection from the stomach to the small intestine). The dr. put him on Zantac twice a day. He is now 8 months and doing great - he has been off of the zantac since about 4-5 months and has had no problems. Good luck!
