Is your doctor concerned? If the pattern continues, my guess is that your doctor will recommend using a "higher dose" of formula (or formula mixed with expressed breast milk).

Neosure (NOT neocate) is a higher calorie formula (22 cal/oz vs regular formula mixed at 20 cal/oz). Neosure can also be mixed at different concentrations to make higher calorie counts.

But- consult your pediatrician before starting any diet changes to a baby this young.

PS- Both my sons were severely underweight because of what you are describing. Things are going better now, sort of, with A LOT of intervention.
