I was absolutely TERRIFIED giving my baby a bath at first! And it didn't help that she hated baths anyway. I seriously gave her sponge baths until she was 2 months old! I was too afraid to actually put her in water. Looking back, I'm not sure why. Anyway, they make these really cool things called bath slings (you can find them at Walmart, Kmart, etc.) and they just sit in the tub or sink, or even on the countertop for sponge baths. They cost about $5.00 and are well worth the money. That's about the only advice I have. Hope it helps!
