I have a friend whos son is the same way so they had him tested. (grade level abilities/ADD/ADHD/ETC). They said it was because he was bored with the material. It wasn't stimulating him. I don't remember exactly what is being done. I think he goes to gifted class occasionally. (A class that teaches at a higher grade level) to keep him stimulated. I also think they said he did have a mild case of ADD or ADHD.
