I believe you. My little one does it too. He screams and pushes me away. It is like he thinks I am trying to do him harm when all I want to do is try to comfort him. I try talking to him to let him know it is me and it is like he is trapped in a nightmare he can't get out of and even though he looks right at me, it is like he sees someone else. He can't hear me either.
My kids are never babysat. They are always with me. I am a stay at home mom and I know everything that goes on with them. With the exception of my now 13 year old who was abused by a baby sitter (hence why I stay at home now) they were never abused in anyway. In fact they are spoiled rotten. I have 4 boys and they all get along great so it isn't because of fighting. I wish I had answers for you, but I don't even have them yet for myself. At least you know you are not alone.
If I learn anything, I will post it for you. Take care

Lori K
