First of all ... congrats! Regarding your question ... that's really a personal decision. Some people think the baby should be in his/her own room from the get-go, so the kiddo gets used to it. Some people like to have the baby in their room for a little bit so they can keep a closer eye on him/her. Other people prefer to co-sleep. It all depends on what you want to do. My wife and I had Hannah in a bassinette for 4 weeks after she was born, and then moved her into her own room. She still ends up with us in bed quite a bit, though, as she's a crappy sleeper :)
