My 6 month old has developed a skin problem -- bumpy, dry patches on her belly, arms, back and legs -- but it seems to be worse on her elbows and the back of her thighs. I was thinking the elbows are getting irritated from rubbing when she is scooting on the floor and the legs are irritated from rubbing when sitting up. Has anyone else had this problem? The pediatrician suggested putting cortisone on it, but I would rather remedy the source of the problem if possible.
