Hannah is 8 months old now and her latest trick is to screech at the top of her little lungs when you're not doing exactly what she wants you to do (e.g. pick her up, give her something, etc.). It's making life around her not so fun. My wife has a terminal headache and is afraid to take her in public because it's somewhat embarrassing. I'm going under the assumption that this is a common phase that some babies go through, and I'm sure there's no easy answer to fixing it, but I thought I'd ask anyhow. The good news, while I've got you, is that it appears Hannah has gotten past the standing up in crib phase. She's been sleeping much better for the last few nights. I hope she keeps it up. Of course, as one problem solves itself another one crops up.
