No, she definitely doesn't need to eat at night. My daughter is also breastfed and has been sleeping through the night since she was 6 weeks old. We give her a pacifier when she wakes up in the night. You might even be able to get away with just giving her a cuddle and putting her back to bed. There's no reason a child that age should be waking up that often. Does she have a blanket or stuffed animal that she likes to sleep with? That might help too. But I would definitely break the nursing habit. She's just using you as a pacifier. I know I'm not much help. Good luck!
