Thanks to all of you for your support and advice. As far as the eating and sleeping, she's exclusively breastfed, and has been sleeping through the night since she was 7 weeks old (the one positive thing I can say!). I think she gets plenty of sleep. She usually sleeps a good 8-9 hours at night, then has 2 long naps and several mini-naps throughout the day. With the feeding, I've tried cutting things out of my diet that I thought may be bothering her, with no luck. And she has never really acted like it was a tummy ache or gas or anything. Like I said before, it's more anger than pain. She does like motion, but my arms feel like they're going to fall off after a day of carrying her! And drives and walks are usually not an option because we live in a very cold area. We have a swing, which she really likes some days, but other days she screams the minute we put her in. But you were all correct in saying that I definitely need a break! But with breastfeeding it's not possible to get away for very long (she won't take a bottle; it has to be the "real thing"). The only other person who can even hold her without making her scream is my husband, who works full time. When he is around, it seems like that's the only chance I have to do laundry and housework. So I never get a chance to get away by myself. I guess that's why it gets so frustrating. It's hard to be in mommy mode all day, every day for months at a time. Well anyway, thanks again for your advice. If anyone has any recommendations for toys or anything that keep your little ones entertained, please let me know!
