: Hi,
: My 5 month old son has developed this rash in his diaper area within the last three weeks or so. It is between and on him bum cheeks and can get pretty red. He has never had any type of diaper rash up until now. He started vegetables around the same time that the rash appeared and his rash seems particulary bad after a BM.
: Does anyone have any suggestions as to what may have caused this and what I can do?
: I have tried several diaper rash creams with minimal results. I am washing his bum with warm water and let it air dry for about 15 min after every change. I have tried an antifungal cream and it seemed to almost clear it up but then when I stopped using it, it came back. My doctor has just given me a cream containing cortisone(steroid),and also containing an antifungal. I have been using it several days and it still has not cleared up. I am so frustrated and I'm sure he is uncomfortable but I don't know what else to do.

use that and cornstarch my s0n had a rash for a month it happend because o teething hand inthere, if it get really really bad agian bring him back in he may need antibactrial cream.oh did u try basitracin that worked great formy son as well
